Day 484: The Arts Emporium
Last Saturday night - they got married! Our wonderful friends Jay and Rebecca were married. Brad was in the wedding and we had a great time all weekend long. One place we really enjoyed was the Emporium, their reception site. I remember telling Rebecca about this location. I had been interested in it, but the street outside was under construction when we got married. But it was absolutely fabulous for Jay and Rebecca's absolutely fabulous reception.

The Emporium Center is Knoxville’s first true arts center. Originally built in 1898, it re-opened following renovations during the summer of 2004. Located at 100 South Gay Street, the 28,000 square feet of flexible use space houses two art galleries showcasing local and regional artists, the administrative offices of the Arts & Culture Alliance, and offices for nine other arts and cultural organizations. Additionally, the building houses studio for ten individual artists and rehearsal, classroom and meeting space...
