I love cute, local lunch places. And I have my first favorite in Ktown. The Soup Kitchen is an easy drive from my office; it's easy, inexpensive; and they have good for you or comfort food. I had the chili and the mexican cornbread. Spicy! Can't wait to try another variety.
I went with a friend. I'll call him "Jameson."
So, where should I try next…

The Soup Kitchen was one of my favorite places to eat lunch when I worked at TVA. Incredible, fill-your-tummy soup with amazing brown bread. Love it. A close tie? The Tomato Head. Yummity yum yum.
ReplyDeleteOther faves (if they are still around)? Harold's Deli in the Old City, Pasta Trio in the Old City, the Bistro at the Bijou, and the Lunch Box.
I miss home.
